On 8 March 2022, another event in the series „Forum Bundesbank digital“ will take place, at which the Deutsche Bundesbank’s Head Office in North Rhine-Westphalia would like to communicate Bundesbank topics to citizens in an understandable way. Mr Jochen Metzger, President of the Head Office in North Rhine-Westphalia, will speak on this evening.

The pandemic has caused an economic slump worldwide. How will the economy develop after the pandemic subsides? When will we reach the pre-crisis level in Germany again? What are the growth drivers? Will supply bottlenecks and raw material shortages be overcome in the course of the year? And what influence will these developments have on inflation? Will it remain at the current high rates or is a significant decline expected? How does the current development of inflation affect the monetary policy of the European Central Bank?

In his lecture, Jochen Metzger will explain and discuss these and other topics on economic development, inflation and current monetary policy.

Of course, you will also have the opportunity to ask Mr. Metzger questions. An easy-to-use chat function is available for this purpose.

We cordially invite you to this lecture:
