Climate change is one of the biggest global challenges. Both the USA and Europe want to become climate-neutral by 2050. Germany and NRW are aiming to achieve this goal by 2045.
The different transformation strategies are currently leading to friction in investments, global corporate decisions and international trade relations. The German Economic Institute (IW) has analyzed the transformation strategies of the USA, Europe and Germany on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and derived recommendations for action for a successful location policy in international competition and for the players in the financial and real economy.
Six weeks after the election decision in the USA, we want to discuss the various transformation strategies and recommendations for action with representatives from business and politics in NRW.
We look forward to meeting you!
