Companies face growing challenges in 2025: The EU is tightening CO2 emissions targets through the reform of the emissions trading system (ETS) and rising CO2 prices. The “Fit for 55” strategy brings binding targets for energy efficiency and renewable energies. The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) makes sustainability reporting mandatory. New regulations on the circular economy require resource-conserving production methods. In addition, supply chain laws increase responsibility for environmental and social standards. Companies must adapt their strategies in order to achieve climate neutrality and ensure competitiveness.

As developments are in flux, companies should inform themselves at an early stage. In the webinar of the Unternehmensnetzwerk Klimaschutz (UNK) on December 12 from 2 to 3 p.m., you will therefore receive an update: What is the status quo? What is likely to happen to companies in the new year in terms of energy and environmental policy at European and federal level?

Dr. Sebastian Bolay, Head of Energy, Environment and Industry at the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce, will report.
