Sustainability is a key issue for industrial companies. There are many intrinsic reasons for this (in addition to the growing legal requirements), such as meeting customer and investor requirements, reducing risks and costs, improving image and reputation, increasing attractiveness for employees and potential applicants, leveraging innovation potential and securing long-term competitiveness.
On the other hand, many companies find it difficult to gain an overview of the numerous starting points and to find their way into possible fields of activity. In order to build bridges here, the SIHK would like to provide company representatives with suggestions on relevant aspects of sustainability as part of a sustainability forum. The event will take place on Thursday, May 8 from 1 to 7 p.m. at the SIHK in Hagen.
The forum will focus on three blocks, each with three parallel short presentations on key sustainability topics such as CSRD, sustainable finance, energy transition, due diligence in the supply chain, etc.
These will be framed by two keynote speeches (speakers are Thomas Rau and Holger Arnold) and a subsequent get-together for all participants to get to know each other, ask questions, exchange ideas and discuss.
