Sustainability Transformation Monitor (STM): How is the sustainable transformation of the economy succeeding? The latest data from STM25 provides a glimpse into the engine room of the real and financial economy - and shows a mixed picture.
The STM25 provides a comprehensive and reliable picture of the implementation of the sustainability transformation in Germany. The STM sees itself as a seismograph of the sustainability transformation and thus as an indicator of how the competitiveness and attractiveness of Germany as a business location can be combined with the goal of climate neutrality. Thanks to its unique survey design, trend-setting statements can be made about the status of the interlinking of the real economy and the financial sector in favor of targeted structural change. Specifically, it deals with the drivers and barriers to change in companies, the status of decarbonization, the impact of new reporting requirements, the availability and use of sustainability data and the interaction between the real and financial sectors for transformation financing.
In our webcast on March 25, Fin.Connect.NRW, as a project partner of the STM, together with Dr. Manuel Reppmann (University of Hamburg) and Jakob Kunzlmann (Bertelsmann Stiftung), published an exclusive evaluation of the status of transformation in the financial and real economy in NRW in addition to nationwide developments.
